Morocco decides to give the Moroccan woman's children the nationality
4/8/2005
As a result of the human rights feminist movements' demands and after a year of giving the Moroccan woman her rights regarding marriage and divorce
the Moroccan king Mohammed 6th issued a decree on 30th July 2005 allows the Moroccan woman's children to obtain the Moroccan nationality.
The decree put an end to the sufferings of thousands women married to foreigners.
It is to be mentioned that the Moroccan mothers married to foreigners had been suffering for so long of forbidding their children, of being Moroccans. They faced many troubles in moving outside the country with their children.
If the husband is Arabic so the children must get a visa permission to enter Morocco - Europeans do not have to get visas- even if the mother is a Moroccan resident, the children are asked to get a residential card as soon as they are 15 years old.
They are also supposed to get a return visa whenever they wanted to travel abroad and return back to Morocco. This usually takes at least ten days.
