Pakistan : Deleting the" religion item" from Pakistani Passports

3rd of January 2005

Despite all the opposition that the Pakistani Government has to face, The ministry of interior affairs decided to delete the item of "religion" from all Pakistani Passports. In order to eliminate all "religious discrimination" that is widely spread in the country.

Although most Pakistanis are Muslims(Sunni or Shiites), But deleting this item would abolish all types of discrimination, Muslims and Christians or Sunnis and Shiites.
