New Family Law in Algeria


18th of December 2004


The Algerian government finally approved a new family Law that grants the Algerian woman some of her rights, especially in the working and business field.

" This new Family Law, totally in accordance to the Algerian values, will enable Algeria to fulfill its commitments to the International community", said Le soir d'Alegerie

The Algerian prime minister mentioned that since the declaration of Algeria's Independence, women have invaded all Sectors, hinting that about 30% of the Algerian judges are women.
