The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information announced the starting of its activities yesterday in a reception attended by a numerous number of human rights activists, lawyers, journalists and interested persons in Democracy and human rights in Egypt.

The celebration which was characterized by intimacy was held in the Network's premises, included celebrating the defense council that defended the political activists who were charged with organizing a lift party so- called "The Revolutionary Socialists". And also celebrating the innocence of the charged political activists, who attended too. The innocence sentence came as a result of the great efforts done by all the political and the human rights activists, alongside with the defense council.

Launching the web site of the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information and the announcement of its actual activities comes to meet the needs brought forth by the information revolution and the incessant developments in the field of communications.

The Arabic Network for Human Rights Information collects the publications, press releases and reports issued by the different human rights organizations in the Arab world. These publications are classified on the web site according to the country and the right they approach.

The web site also provides the Arab activists, journalists and the interested persons with a channel of dialogue through the forum on it . In addition to the Human Rights Agenda which covers, mostly, all the seminars, conferences and symposia related to the human rights issues in the region. Also the web site gives the Arab users the opportunity to exchange their different points of view in the different human rights issues, which have not been raised yet, this is through the published articles written by the activists and the supporters of liberties and democracy in the Arab region.

Several journalists expressed their happiness and gratitude for being able to follow the recent developments and publications of so many Arab human rights organizations in one web site which gives them the link to the specific organization they may be looking for.

Launching the web site and starting the activities, the Arabic Network for Human Rights Information is offering any support and welcoming any cooperation to and with all the civil society institutions in Egypt and all over the Middle East and North Africa for establishing human rights values and principals on the local, national and international levels.
