An increase in media repression
Last September saw a significant escalation in violating the media freedom in the Palestinian territories manifested in a large number of arrests and detentions and investigations in addition to the continuation of threats and this is all due to the struggle between Hamas and Fatah and the rest of the factions as every party tried to polarize the people either in Gazza or in the Westbank through different means like protests and demonstrations
Both Fatah and Hamas refuse to cover peaceful activities by other factions while they keep on repressing the media and detain journalists and call for more police forces despite that Hamas and Fatah repeatedly claim their respect for the freedom of opinion and expression.
